We listen, act, and transform
Our Clinicians
Valcia McGann, LMFT- Founder & Clinical Supervisor
Hi, I’m Val, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing individual and couples therapy for adults in Minnesota. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in cycles of anxiety and self-doubt, even when their lives appear successful on the surface. I’m drawn to the deeper layers of experience — the internal pressures, relational patterns, and expectations that shape how we feel and how we show up.
I specialize in working with high-achieving adults in their 30s who struggle with burnout, anxiety, and self-esteem concerns. Through a collaborative, trauma-informed approach, I help clients build self-trust, emotional clarity, confidence, and lasting internal stability. My work integrates evidence-based therapy with a relational style that supports insight, emotional regulation, and meaningful change over time.
Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that contribute to stress, disconnection, or emotional strain, and work toward greater steadiness, self-understanding, and more fulfilling relationships — both with yourself and with others.
Brett Olson, Pre- Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi, I’m Brett, a pre-licensed professional counselor (LPCC track) at Daylight Therapy. I work with adults seeking affirming, supportive therapy to navigate anxiety, depression, identity-related stress, and challenges related to self-acceptance and emotional well-being.
I have a particular focus on working with LGBTQ+ clients and individuals seeking deeper self-understanding in a safe, nonjudgmental space. As a therapist-in-training under the supervision of Valcia McGann, LMFT, I offer thoughtful, affordable therapy while completing my clinical training.
My therapeutic approach draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy. I work with a diverse range of clients to manage anxiety, depression, and identity-related stress, while building resilience and self-acceptance.
